Notice anything weird?
I’m not pregnant.
That right there is the flusteredcluck that is my GI system. It’s scary weird…it can expand to what feels like 800 times its size.
If bloating were an extreme sport I could be on a Wheatie’s Box.
It’s a lot of fun… I get to lay down tons of ca$h on things like bacteria.
And drink all the fun things!
I cleaned up my diet a bunch, too. More on that later. The various remedies I’m trying are helping – but just a little. What it’s really gonna take is time.
Time spent eating regular and consistent meals and snacks at appropriate intervals. This is exactly what I have trouble with and it’s what landed me here in bloatsville in the first place.
It’s the weirdest thing….
your body is actually meant to digest food!
Seriously though…if you don’t exercise you inner-tubes they gets weak and lazy and throw temper tantrums when asked to do something.
Joking aside, I have no idea how to explain what this feels like and I know it doesn’t really come across in these photos (today’s one of my better days) believe me it is extremely distressing. If you have an eating disorder or body image issues, this will exacerbate all the fear and emotion that comes along with that.
I want you to know if you’re struggling with this you are not alone and it is normal. It may be weird to say but….in order to deal with this emotionally I pretend like I’m pregnant – but the new life I am growing and nurturing is my own.
I know. Freaky. Don’t judge. #whateverittakes
On second thought – feel free to judge because…I mean. I’m a little a lot freaky and I know it.
