My friend and I did Sushi-Sunday. We sipped wine and chatted about the importance of our thoughts, words and deeds – how we create change by first thinking it, then saying it, and finally doing it. (We like to keep things light…)
“Sometimes you have to do it backwards” I said, meaning sometimes you must “fake it till you feel it.” He agreed and shared how he sometimes puts on a smiley mask, faces the day and starts feeling better.
Then we ate sushi. Yum. (And talked about other stuff.)
We got our cookies (he ate mine)….and check out my fortune:
Given our earlier topic of conversation (oh and that thing I have with eating)… how apropos.
Doing begets feeling (sometimes).
Fear something? Feel the fear and do it anyway. Fake it till you feel it. Do it not wanting to do it.
Things we FEAR can actually become things we CRAVE. Maybe even weight gain.
Speaking of fear, weight gain and good fortune….
I‘m overwhelmed with gratitude and love for all of you who left such supportive comments on my freaky post (and every post). Trying to find words that express how much they meant to me without cliché = FAIL. Just know I’m touched. Y’all are beautiful…beyond description or comparison.
I am so fortunate.
they’ve been buoying me these past few days.
*Sidenote* My friend’s fortune was “look before you leap” –NOT what you want to hear having come directly from the car dealership (his first new car). *giggle* He’s probably reading this and I’ll leave him with this—>Appetite for vegetables comes with eating them. We’ve got work to do, Mister!
