Sight.
Last man standing.
This little guy jumped into my cart a few weeks back. One of my favorite reds. $4.99. Yup! I’m rarely in the mood for red but when I am I’ll be equipped.
Sound.
An email exchange with a friend gifted me with the perfect groove for my afternoon. Care to Join me?
Come on now…just skip the ad! It’s Friday.
Soliloquy.
Speaking of simmering down, I’m in need of that myself. I was thinking I might bring that Beaujolais over to my friend’s place but I don’t think I want to share. (*winkwink* Sushi Sunday girl!)
Simmer down means to become calm after excitement or anger. OR in my case? Just life. I always need to have some sort of break at the end of the day before I declare it chill o’clock.
I used to swim after work but lately I’ve been strapping on my pod and just cruising around my hood (what the… where did that come from? strapping on the pod? srsly?). I listen to sermons, podcasts or music according to where my head’s at.
Get lost in the clouds.
Works like a charm.
I just got back and I’m about to shower, do some B&D (Bible study and devotionals*)… then…hmmm…I’m thinking more B&D. Beaujolais and Dinner.
- How do you simmer down?
- Angela blessed my life with the most beautiful devotional. It speaks to me each and everyday. Yesterday for example. After I finished my blog post from yesterday. If you read my post you may want to read it. It was spot on ..exactly what I needed. I’ll leave it in the comments.

Bring me your mind for rest and renewal. Let Me infuse My Presence into your thoughts. As your mind stops racing, your body relaxes and you regain awareness of Me. This awareness is vital to your spiritual well being; it is your lifeline, spiritually speaking.
There are actually more than four dimensions in this world where you live. In addition to the three dimensions of space and the one of time, there is the dimension of Openness to My Presence. This dimension transcends the others, giving you glimpses of heaven while you still reside on earth. This was part of My original design for mankind. I want you to walk with Me in the garden of your heart, where I have taken up permanent residence.
from Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.

Wow. That soliloquy is….as it is.
Thank you for sharing. And girl; question? Do you only have an iPod Shuffle? That doesn’t hold “enough” if you know what I’m getting at.
Wait; what am I getting at? Whatever; I still am simply enamored with….”giving you glimpses of heaven while you reside on earth. This was part of my original design….” Speaking LOUDLY to me. Thankfully my ears are open.
Peace and me too with the clouds.
Simmering down is all simply just LISTENING to what I need. So be it meditating, to other things that are kind of categorized in the “mind melt” place (AKA : funny videos all the way to the other end of the spectrum of, “sitting myself down” and mindfully going through the files of my brain balls, I do this.)
*The clouds HERE have been AMAZING. They have transformed, transpired, transposed into beautiful pieces of joy that I love. I love clouds.*
Where is Orb’s “Little Fluffy Clouds”?
Oh right : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHixChYgGRI
That soliloquy is….as it is. <???
do i offend?
heehee…brain balls.
and the ipod…don't get me started. i dislike that thing so…howeves,i made friends with it recently because it's good for the sermons and podcast and an album or so…i change it about twice a week. Mine was stolen years ago and i haven't been able to replace it because i require the biggest one and i tell my parents not to buy me one. they actually got me a touch year before last and i got all snobby and returned it. i got contact lenses instead.
my itunes is
Glad you liked it.
The pictures are absolutely beautiful. I love to just stare up at the clouds and get lost in them. I like to pretend I can just float up and meet God. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
That will come later Angela…for now, meet God HERE! In the PRESENT…HIS PRESENCE.
*when I ALL CAPS I don’t scream…I want to emphasize…but perhaps me needs to stop as it probably is being read really weirdly.
weirdly.
That is amazing… it never fails to awe me when God manages to reach us in a way we didn’t expect with a message that’s so relevant to us right then. That’s why I love devotionals too, actually.
xxx
I love that you have been ‘cruising’ around the neighbourhood and welcome to the cloud-gazer’s club! Such a peaceful pasttime hey? Walking and taking in the world always makes me a lot more peaceful.
I would love to float up and meet God too, like Angela
I love it when God reaches us with messages we need. He seriously does have a purpose for things happening in our lives. I have that exact same ipod too
.
Love beaujolais nouveau! Tis the season. Enjoy, lady. I am headed out on a bike ride this afternoon. Last time, I came across a bazillion geese. I hope to catch them again. So peaceful.
welp…the season has long gone for the Nouvea …that’s why that’s the last man standing. but really? it’s all the time good for Beaujoliais. I also like Macon Villages.
Your bike ride sounds loverly.
I too cruise around my hood with the pod, lol
Actually, my favorite was when I lived a block away from a lake and I used to run or bike on the shore at sunset. I lovelovelove clouds at sunset. Also, when it was warm outside, I used to close my eyes and pretend I was in Florida, complete with the smell of the tide going out. I guess you don’t need to pretend that though!!!
You know, you should start smoking weed. It makes you realize how much God intended for us to appreciate food and makes you carefree and relaxed. Plus it’s better than cigarettes.
I have most def heard that before!
It’s so weird though — since you mention it — when I did (and I have in the past) it ALWAYS killed my appetite ..food was like..no. Plastic rubbery fake hard to explain…plus the whole dry mouth factor.
But weed has NO place in my life anymore. Not my thing. But I maintain friendships with people who do so.
also, skiz…you just want to get high with me don’t you (0;
If you ever wanna, you should hit me up. I live in Cali where I could hook you up with some dank, fine Cali tree. Hahaha it really does make you appreciate life though and explore your mind in a less practical, orderly way. Plus it’ll just help you relax and let loose. I can email you my number if you want, and you should hit me up if you’re ever in southern Cali. Just you know, a thought.(;
I don’t smoke weed…but I’ll keep it in mind. (0:
