Thank God Yesterday Was Thursday.
Or, TGYWT! <—with necessary exclamation point.
I don’t use the phrase “Thank God” casually. Yesterday was rough. I sucked at yesterday.
Today I’m grateful for a Lord who makes all things new and who gives us the gift of the present day. Shouts out are in high order.
So, TGYWT. When life hands you letters, gather your thoughts and make a list of randomness I say!
Tofutti Better than Cream Cheese
I go through food crazes and lately I’m cuckoo for not-cream cheese.
I use it to dip chips, crackers, veggies, and fruit. I put it in wraps, with eggs, with “crabmeat” (<– I had a craving. I went with it. Sugar, starches, artificials and all. )
I even spread it on my pickles. (What? You knew that was coming.)
I will not, however, attempt to eat it with kimchi.
Or will I? muahahahaha.
Grey’s Anatomy
Last nights episode anyone? A women loses her long-term boyfriend after a tragic accident. Their final time together was not the best and they never got the opportunity to kiss and make-up.
Anyways….When Lexi opens the locket? Yeah. I almost lost it.
Also…how beautiful is Chyler Leigh? I like her name.
You need a giggle. I decided.
Wanna see a picture of baby me?
I KNOW…right? Fatty Boombalatty! I eventually lost the pudge, but the cheeks? They’re forever.
PS- That terrified looking kid on the left is Charles. We were inseparable until age 3 when he moved away…he sent me letters and cards until I was in middle school. I have a way with the boys.
Thank you for the feedback on my last post. I took it all in and relaxed a bit. I am officially done thinking of “my blog” or whatever this thing is as anything more than a silly little place I write things down and share with friends.
I’m not a “blogger.”
I just have a silly little blog.
Imma get back to doing what I do, how I do, the way I do.
- I want your randoms!!! <—whoa. Where did those come from?

Tags. The tags always make me laugh Missy.
I’m not a blogger either.
I just sent you a box of randoms. You think this is random? Just you wait. I’ll leave my randoms there.
Thanks for the smile and I have to say that maybe we readers ought to start a “caption the picture” game because that little wee one of you and Charles has a “Imma getcha sucka!” written all over it. Look at how terrified his face is!
Have a good rest to your Friday – and thank goodness for all the new moments that arrive.
Be well.
And the linoleum is awesome! Seriously.
It was the bane of my existence as a child. That and the green carpeting and yellow furniture in my room…… umm…I’ve always been particular. And sensitive (0;
I love Charles’ face in that photograph. And your cheeks! So cute. My cheeks were freaking ginormous when I was little and people constantly wanted to yank on them. It was soooo offensive. lol.
I love the expression on baby Charles!
“Spread it on a pickle” does sound a bit pornographic
You make me laugh!
I hope you are having a fabulous Friday.
It has to do with the cream and the pickle me thinks.
My cheeks have been my achilles heel sort of self esteem wise.
I can understand why that linoleum would have been a bit of a bane; as well the carpeting and furniture.
We all have our particulars. Some of us are able to adapt or don’t care; others may simply just go along with the flow for the sake of others (Oh hello, self!).
So was the carpet the shag variety? I have lived in so many different domiciles that I have the memories of so many spots. Yet, I think (and try to envision) about how you had to face that linoleum or carpet day in and day out for years and eventually knew it was going nowhere.
I hope in “your” space you have just what you need that is simply YOU.
RAAAANDOM!
mmmmmmm Klimchi!!!! I had some at a Japanese restaurnat last Friday- a big plate of tofu and klimchi (I even posted reference!) Unfortunately, I offered it (grudgingly) about the table and I ended up with only a tiny bit of it-waaaaaah!!!!!
Glad you are well! You were a very cute child!!!!!!
That awkwar moment picture, I’ve seen it, and it freaks me the crap out everytime. It makes me feel….wiggly. Uncomfortable. Ick.
Kimchi and cream cheese? Hmmm. Maybe? Don’t knock it till you try it, right? Note the use of “you” in that sentence. Not “me”. Although I poo-pooed your pb and pickles, and actually….might go make me a night time snack right now.
I tried Tofutti after seeing Nicole use it, it’s yum! (I do still like cream cheese better though… am I a traitor?)
xx
You aren’t chubby now, you weren’t chubby then, you were a baby, babies look like that when they are healthy! I looked like one of the oompa loompas on willy wonka! Except I wasn’t green.
And I love your silly little blog
Fatty Boombalatty! bahahahaha!
i’ve been planning a great food design for the longest time:
- 1 container of tofutti
- lots of goopy seedy blueberry jam (maybe raspberry mixed in, too)
- rolled in a stone wheat (gluten free, bla bla bla) flat natural pita.
- throw away remaining pitas
- eat remaining jam from jar with spoon
eat like a scrumptious sandwich.
enjoy with unsweetened almond milk.
that sounds like a delicious meal. that’s my idea of pizza.
Souns good to me…if you could make the tofu sort of like cottage cheese! I’ll be intrigued to see how it turns out. Maybe you could use remaining jelly in a vegan yogurt like you like if it “fits in” that night.
